In order to eat that turkey…

Written on November 21st, 2008 by Juddno shouts

You know that turkey you will eat next Thursday?  Just in case you didn’t know, someone has to kill that turkey first.  The media didn’t know that, and they’re shocked!

Kind of ironic considering the way they slaughtered, Palin.  Lots of symbolism there…

The old blame game

Written on November 9th, 2008 by Juddno shouts

Some of these nattering nabobs may be looking for a GOP presidential candidate to throw in with in 2012. They had better hope that candidate isn’t a certain Alaskan governor.

Conservatives like me actually thought Palin was the best person on the ticket.  By throwing her under the bus, McCain staffers have essentially thrown themselves under the bus.

  1. If Palin runs, there’s no chance she has any of them on board.
  2. Anyone else would be foolish to bring these staffers on board — clearly they were in it for themselves and, in that case, they are going to blame the candidate for a loss and take all the credit for the win.

Blind trust

I echo the sentiments of some that is incredible for the country that we are able to elect a black President so recently after a period of slavery, but I also echo the sentiments that I am unable to get caught up in the hype.  We enter a time in our country when there are more questions than answers, and many of those questions are ones that could have been asked before this election and weren’t.  I don’t like the prospects for correcting a poor court decision in Roe vs. Wade for at least 50 years from this coming January, and it is only when we go back to choosing life that our country will prosper again.  I don’t like that we just elected the most unqualified president in our nation’s history, either.  It is not John McCain’s fault, and it’s not Sarah Palin’s fault.  The best thing that came out of this unwinnable election was that we have a new conservative leader and a new pro-life leader in Sarah Palin.  The honorable campaign McCain ran and is introduction of Sarah Palin to America were two great services by a great man.  The blame falls squarely on four groups of people:

1.  The Republican Base that took a chance on Obama by not showing up to vote today.
2.  The blind-trust liberals, who mistook this election as The American Idol.
3.  The conservatives who should have voted for McCain to prevent Obama, and instead voted 3rd party.
4.  The mainstream media.  Fortunately for us, it was their last hurrah, their last solid influence on American politics.  They failed us to an infinite degree, and in the process they have exposed themselves.

Get some rest while you can.  We have four sleepless years ahead of us.

At the very least, not yet…

Palin is not in hiding

Written on October 21st, 2008 by Juddno shouts

Interestingly, CBS news points out that Palin has been the most accessible of the four top presidential ticket candidates recently:

In the past two days alone, Palin has answered questions from her national press corps on three separate occasions. On Saturday, she held another plane availability, and on Sunday, she offered an impromptu press conference on the tarmac upon landing in Colorado Springs. A few minutes later, she answered even more questions from reporters during an off-the-record stop at a local ice cream shop.

By contrast, Biden hasn’t held a press conference in more than a month, and Obama hasn’t taken questions from his full traveling press corps since the end of September. John McCain—who spent most of the primary season holding what seemed like one, never-ending media availability—hasn’t done one since Sept. 23.

Considering Biden doesn’t think Obama is qualified to be our next president, one can understand why he isn’t taking questions.  He, too, is worried about Obama’s inexperience in the case of an international crisis.

Rangel calls Palin “disabled”

Written on September 19th, 2008 by Juddno shouts

Charles Rangel, clearly not a patriot in the first place due to his failure to pay taxes, goes forth and calls Gov. Sarah Palin "disabled."  By his comments, he obviously thought that the Saturday Night Live skit he saw was an actual news conference, which leads me to believe the Congressman might need corrective lenses of some sort:

CBS 2 HD: "She’s disabled?"

Rangel: "There’s no question about it politically. It’s a nightmare to think that a person’s foreign policy is based on their ability to look at Russia from where they live.

This is your country, people!  This is your representative, Manhattan!  The dumbocrats are trying SO hard to lose this election…
