Loss of integrity

Anyone who saw the Dallas Stars game vs. the Florida Panthers last night has to be wondering if hockey is fixed. In an unbelievable display of ineptitude, the officials called three penalties on the Panthers in the last few minutes of the game (only two over the first 50 minutes of the game) to hand the game to the Dallas Stars. And let me tell you, it is questionable as to whether there was even CONTACT on two of the penalties.
"We came back hard and deserved a much better fate," coach Jacques Martin said. "The disappointment is oriented at one group," he continued, making a reference to the officials. "I'm not going to say anything, but at some point in time it has to be addressed." Said Kwiatkowski: "I'm going to bite my lip on this one. ... We're in last place in the division. I don't know if we're getting kicked around in that way, but lately it seems we're getting the short end of the stick."
If things don't change very, very quickly you can be assured I won't be renewing the Center Ice package next season. I've seen enough of this crap. It is horrible that the National Hockey League should become the next WWF, where the outcomes are calculated and preferable to the most profitable markets. If I had recorded the game I'd provide evidence, but I wouldn't doubt if this game is talked about in the national media. It should be investigated. One couldn't help be be proud of Jacques Martin for his post-game berating of the officials from the bench.

Funny, my wife said the same thing about the Timberwolves game last night that the officials handed to the Spurs.
