Remember how the 02 elections were a referendum on Bush’s performance? And then the 2004 elections were, also? Well, leave it to Chuck Schumer to assume that, get this, 2006 is also a referendum on President Bush.
If the doom and gloom party ever wins another election I s’pose they can finally say “we told you Bush was doing a poor job.” That’s if, and I’m not holding my breathe.
