Marty, first of all, thank you for your help for McCain-Palin. That, plus your vote and your great concern for life is powerful. We never lose when we do this work as we always affect others with that work.

As for repentance, Catholics do believe you need confession to confess your mortal sins. Obviously that obligation is for informed and practicing Catholics (by the way, if you ever did want to talk to a priest in private and see what confession is about, feel free to enter the confessional and just let the priest know you aren't Catholic but wanted to talk and it will be kept in confidence, as required by Christ, Himself -- he won't be able to give absolution to a non-Catholic, but you will still feel refreshed). We cannot, for certain, say who will achieve salvation, however. There is no magic recipe or route other than continuing to inform our conscience and to follow it. God, while being perfectly just, is also perfectly merciful. It's not even worth guessing who will and won't get to heaven because we all arrive on Earth in different circumstances, and we all carry different crosses. Just continue to have faith and do good works and He will show you the way heaven. Don't let a Catholic or anyone else tell you that you can't be saved, and certainly don't let them keep you from doing this great work for the pre-born children (I don't like the word "unborn" -- I prefer something that clearly shows that the baby will be born if you leave it alone). We need you. God needs you.

Dear Judd- I won't be on the conference call because
the last time that I took a public stand for life
a Catholic tried to argue with me concerning my salvation
and then he threatened to turn me over to a priest in
his church just because I believe that the only way
for someone to be saved from hell is for them to repent
of their sins and ask God to forgive them. Salvation
comes through trusting in Jesus Christ alone and obeying
his Word. He and He alone can forgive sin and that is
the reason He is to be feared. He is calling His body
to repentance (turning away from sin and doing good)
and to a life of obedience to His Word.

Dear Judd- I have a lot of peace right now because I worked
as a volunteer receptionist for the Mccain -Palin campaign
and my husband and I also made calls during the last few
days before the election. Also-I God had me on a fast
concerning the election of pro-life candidates. Our
church prayed and fasted and sought the voice of the
Lord concerning this. On the eve of the election I felt as
if my Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ was speaking to my heart
and saying that God's people would have the victory. That
He was going to answer my prayers and the prayers of others
and that we would have the victory. As the results began
to come in my faith began to waiver for just a moment and
when I went to sleep I didn't understand.
However after reading my Bible this morning I felt as
if God said to me: " My people did have the victory, they
just don't see it yet. People reap what they sow..."
Personally I know that God is pleased with the way I voted
because I voted for life. He knows that I do choose life
and He trusts me with children. I hope that you sleep well
at night knowing that God will bless the obedience of His
servants. I know that I do.
                                  Yours in Christ,

                                  Marty Lara

P.S. I don't blame President Bush for anything, however
I disagree with his Land for Peace policy concerning Israel.
I believe that his heart breaks for the pro-life cause.
