Tigers, Verlander agree to 5-year contract

DETROIT — Pitcher Justin Verlander and the Detroit Tigers have agreed to a US$80 million, five-year contract, a person familiar with the negotiations told The Associated Press on Wednesday.

More Verlander means more problems for the Twins. Hate to see him sign long-term in our division. Heck of a pitcher.
