A friend of Tiger’s happens to make a point in a poorly-chosen way and Tiger and his agent realize that fact. While Tiger finds no harm, you can guess who does: Rev. Al (more me now, did I mention me) Sharpton.
Rev. Al Sharpton, in an interview on CNN on Jan. 9, called for Tilghman to be fired. Later that night, Tilghman was suspended prior to the Sony Open in Hawaii. She is also missing this week’s Bob Hope Chrysler Classic. She is scheduled to return for the Buick Invitational, which ironically is Woods’ first scheduled appearance of the year on the PGA Tour.
I don’t even know why people pay attention to this guy. He’s no different than any other loudmouth bozo standing on a street corner. Maybe Tiger can ask him to, respectfully, shut up.

Nothing makes me happier than to see the Cowboys go down in a playoff game considering they handed the Redskins a win in week 17. That suits you right, and remember that next time you are playing one of those “meaningless” games at the end of a season because you have everything else wrapped up. Someone once said, “Practice makes perfect.”
A different person also said, “How ’bout them Cowboys?”

It seems that Burnside has owned up to his previous comments and acknowledged the success Mike Keenan is having this year with the Calgary Flames.
We took some delight earlier this season with the struggles of the Calgary Flames under new head coach Mike Keenan. It’s only fair, then, that we acknowledge grudging admiration for the work done by Keenan and his troops in turning a rather significant corner.
Kudos to him for pointing this out. The Flames certainly have been a fun team to watch. Not only have they gotten the results in the win column, but they actually look like one of the top teams in the league. Also, they appear to be a team that can compete for a Cup (and those things are not always correlated — the Wild, for example, do not look like a cup contender despite a record similar to Calgary’s).
